Hwang Sun Tae gained international recognition first during his graduate study at Burg Giebichenstein Art School in Germany through Opelvillen Glass Art Award, Lowenhof Art Forum Grand Prize, and Merseburg Kunstpreis Grand Prize in 2005. After winning Grand Prize in Shinsegae Art Fair in 2008, the year he came back to Korea, his works on glass continue to attract attention of collectors both domestically and internationally.
