ABOUT ARTIST KIM HYUN JU Kim Hyun Ju is well known for her flower images of crumbled newspapers using multiple overlapping printmaking technique. In fact her resume is peppered with splendid awards such as Grand Prize in Korea, Modern Printmaking Award, Grand Prize from Bharat Bhavan international Biennale of Print Art and more from various countries such as Japan, lndia, and Thailand. Her artworks are in collection of more than 20 companies and museums including Hyundai Motor, Kunkuk University Hospital, Standard Chartered Bank, Seoul City Art Museum, and Modern Art Museum. ABOUT ARTIST PARK SHIN YOUNG My prints represent the unique characteristics of today’s Singaporean society. To me, the most fascinating aspect of Singapore is its multi-cultural and eclectic society: diverse but not divided, busy yet orderly, where the best of both Eastern and Western worlds coexist. Through Ring of Chaos #, I want to capture these aspects of Singapore in tangling overlaid images which represent diverse ethnicity, culture, and custom, as well as the dynamic and busy lifestyle, over-crowdedness, and the equatorial climate of Singapore. In the Pearl of the Orient #11, the opaque white wash with cutout circles is used to highlight the systematic, orderly and clean city.
